“Pacing the way towards a systematic uptake of emerging reformative approaches to RTD assessment across the EU research ecosystemProgramme: Horizon Europe”
Duration: 1.09.2026 – 28.02.2029
RDA project aims to support the uptake of responsible research assessment reforms across the European Research Area. The project is aligned with key international initiatives and frameworks, including the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment, the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) and the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).
RDA will develop and deliver a set of tools and support activities helping research-performing and funding organisations implement more responsible, qualitative and impact-oriented assessment practices. The project will create an indicator-based maturity model, self-assessment instruments, participatory roadmaps and capacity-building activities supporting institutions in adapting their research assessment systems to emerging European standards. The project also aims to strengthen awareness, stakeholder engagement and policy dialogue around fair and inclusive research evaluation practices.
In the RDA project, ASM is involved in activities related to communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, research support and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) integration:
- Communication, dissemination and engagement activities: ASM supports awareness and uptake of responsible research assessment reforms,
- Research and analytical activities: ASM coordinates the implementation of qualitative and impact-oriented research,
- Stakeholder engagement and co-creation processes: ASM is responsible for involving actors from the research ecosystem in the co-creation activities,
- Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) integration: ASM ensures that institutional reforms consider societal and organisational dimensions.
