“The social impact on ICT and their limited reach to potentially excluded communities. Measuring the problem and undertaking initiatives for its effective mitigation.”
Programme: 6th Framework Programme
Duration: 1.10.2006 – 30.09.2008
The main objective of the project is to develop a set of indicators capable of describing the degree to which the social impacts of ICT reach a number of exclusion prone social communities, in particular disabled, unemployed, immigrants, and older people and then disseminate knowledge to national and EU stakeholders on the ICT indicators for the exclusion prone communities and to propose policy instrument and technology amendments so that any observed exclusion maybe removed leading to a gradual removal of the obstacles that the exclusion prone communities currently face in enjoying the social benefits of ICT.
ASM has several key responsibilities in the ICT4ALL project:
- Socio-economic analysis: ASM is responsible for creating surveys, collecting data, and developing indicators to assess ICT use and social impact on vulnerable groups.
- Dissemination and Communication: ASM is leading the dissemination and communication activities ensuring the project’s findings and recommendations are shared with policymakers and stakeholders at both national and EU levels. Additionally, ASM is involved in organizing workshops and events to raise awareness of the project’s findings and its implications for social inclusion.
