“Geo-clustering to deploy the potential of Energy efficient Buildings across EU”
Programme: 7th Framework Programme
Duration: 1.01.2011 – 31.12.2013
The project is an outgrowth of the geo-cluster concept, which was introduced in 2007 in the Scope and Vision document by the European Energy Efficient Buildings Initiative. The geo-cluster map developed under the project is intended to serve as a multidimensional and dynamic tool that will help stakeholders to chart and develop attractive solutions to increase the energy efficiency of buildings according to the specific needs of different EU regions. One of the tasks of the project is to gather information on successful solutions, good practices and barriers accompanying the implementation of energy-efficient solutions in different EU regions.
ASM has several key responsibilities in the GE20 project:
- Data collection and analysis: ASM is responsible for data collection and analysis, particularly in developing the knowledge repository and geo-cluster mapping tool: analysis of data on energy-efficient technologies and construction methods, contributing to the development of correlation methodologies that link various data layers to identify similarities between geo-clusters.
- Dissemination and Communication: ASM is responsible for dissemination and communication activities within the project helping stakeholders understand the potential for applying energy-efficient technologies across different EU regions and fostering collaboration across European regions to achieve the EU’s energy goals for 2020 and 2050.
