“Building energy renovation through timber prefabricated modules”

Project Objectives:
1. Technical:
(a) Development of a new methodology for holistic and energy-efficient building renovation.
b) Evaluation and validation of prototyping and manufacturing processes for prefabricated system modules for deep building retrofits.
c) Development of a software platform (BIM tool) to support the methodology of the energy-efficient renovation process.
2. Environmental:
(a) Reduction of primary energy consumption of buildings.
(b) Promoting the use of environmentally friendly materials.
3. Socio-economic:
(a) Integrating the business model into the concept of renovation projects.
(b) Paving the way for the use of project results.
ASM has several key responsibilities in the BERTIM project:
- Dissemination and Communication: ASM is leading the dissemination and communication activities, including development and management of the project website, social media and communication packs, media communication, presentations at local and transnational events.
- Exploitation strategy: ASM is leading the development of exploitation plan, which includes managing intellectual property rights (IPR) and ensuring the continuity and market take-up of the project results.
- Market Analysis and Business Plan: ASM oversees the creation and execution of the business plan for BERTIM’s renovation approach, which involves continuous market analysis and strategic planning to address different regional market conditions for timber-based renovations.
