ASM Research Solutions Strategy representatives – Agnieszka Kowalska and Łukasz Wilczyński recently took part in the Sustainable Places 2024 conference in Luxembourg organised by R2M Solution (https://www.r2msolution.com/) and LIST Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (https://www.list.lu/) , contributing to discussions on sustainability and energy resilience by presenting two key projects at different workshops: the COMMUNITAS project (https://communitas-project.eu/ ) and the MULTICARE project (https://multicare-project.eu/ ).
ASM has extensive, many years of experience in design, application, coordination and implementation of tasks within international research projects. We have been implementing them since 2002.
COMMUNITAS Project at the Energy Communities 2050 Workshop
At the Energy Communities 2050 Workshop, ASM showcased the COMMUNITAS project, a forward-looking initiative focused on the creation and development of Energy Communities (ECs) by placing citizens at the heart of energy transitions. The project emphasizes a co-creation model that actively engages citizens in every stage—from the initial planning to the implementation and long-term management of energy solutions. This citizen-centric approach empowers communities to shape their own energy futures, ensuring that the solutions are sustainable and responsive to the actual needs of those who will be using them. One of the ASM key task in the project is to conduct UX/UI research by with the use of Eye-tracking technology during workshops with the end-users.
MULTICARE Project at the Unlocking Renovation Wave Workshop
In the Unlocking Renovation Wave Workshop, ASM presented the MULTICARE project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at improving the resilience of buildings to multiple natural hazards like earthquakes, floods, and heatwaves. The project focuses on developing low-carbon solutions that are adaptable, scalable, and capable of being integrated into both new and existing buildings. One of the key components is to develop a plug-and-play façade that will strengthen the resilience of the building by supporting structure but as well equip building with necessary digital solutions. In this project ASM is responsible for the project dissemination and Social and Environmental Impact Assessment.
Business Networking and Future Opportunities
Participation in the Sustainable Places 2024 conference also provided ASM with the opportunity to forge new business relationships and expand their network within the sustainability and energy resilience sectors. By engaging with other leaders and stakeholders, ASM was able to position itself as a key player in the transition towards more resilient, sustainable energy solutions. The conference offered a platform for the exchange of ideas, the exploration of potential partnerships, and the identification of new opportunities to collaborate on innovative projects in the future.
