On May 1, 2004, through the Accession Treaty signed on April 16, 2003, in Athens, Poland became a full member of the European Community. This event was of immense significance for Poland, opening up new opportunities for development, cooperation, and integration on the international stage. Since then, Poland has undergone numerous changes in the political, economic, and social spheres. Membership in the EU has allowed us to participate in various programs, such as the Framework Program for Research and Innovation, the EU’s primary tool for funding research in Europe. Although Poland had been participating in projects since 1999-2003 as an associated country with the EU, upon joining the Community, we actively engaged as a full member in the ongoing 6th Framework Program. Participation in these programs and subsequent research and innovation funding initiatives has enabled Polish scientists and entrepreneurs to access additional funding sources, establish partnerships with other countries, and gain access to the latest scientific and technological advancements.
ASM Research Solutions Strategy has been actively participating in international research projects since 2002, collaborating with partners from various European countries.
During this time, we have completed 53 such projects, demonstrating our commitment to the development of science and innovation on an international scale.
The projects carried out by ASM have contributed to progress in fields such as sustainable construction, energy efficiency and management systems, digital twins, modern information and communication technologies, transport, education, cybersecurity, health, and healthcare.
In the INSTRUCT project, which we coordinated, we played a role in implementing requirements for the skills of construction workers in the area of energy efficiency. Additionally, through specific case studies, we demonstrated the strong link between energy skills and energy performance. Another project we coordinated, CYBER4SCHOOLS, developed an online game aimed at raising students’ awareness of the dangers they may encounter online and how to protect themselves. Soon, we will also start our new project, ENCODE, whose primary goal is to decipher the meaning and role of emotions in politics and re-encode them to create new, functional, and positive political narratives in Europe. In the CREATE project, we are finishing work on an online platform that will enable seniors to transform their life experiences, knowledge, and stories into digital products (articles, stories).
From the beginning of our participation in international projects, we have coordinated 11 projects. Our company has played a key role in managing these projects, allowing us to gain valuable experience and establish our position as a leader in the field of innovation and scientific research.
In other ongoing projects, we are also working on supporting the active participation of citizens in energy markets through energy communities and developing digital tools to optimize the resilience of buildings to various environmental threats (heatwaves, floods, earthquakes) in a cost-effective, timely, and environmentally sustainable manner.
Our collaboration with partners from various European countries has not only facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experiences but also created a strong network of contacts, which is crucial for the further development of our company. This enables us to effectively respond to changing market needs and co-create innovative solutions that have a real impact on people’s lives worldwide.
Each year, we submit an average of 25 international research projects under EU programs. In 2023 alone, we worked with 330 partners from across Europe to develop innovative concepts in response to Europe’s economic and social challenges.
Our involvement in international research projects is not only a source of our success but also a testament to our commitment to continuous development and the pursuit of new collaboration opportunities on the international stage. We are proud of our achievements to date and eagerly anticipate the future challenges that lie ahead.
